The Author

I have been hill-walking since my early twenties, having first got a taste for it on a school excursion from Edale to Hayfield, via Kinder Scout. Living in Derbyshire, I have easy access to the Peak District, walking there most weeks. I regularly lead Sunday walks for Footloose First and have also organised walking weekends for them in Yorkshire, the Lake District, Wales, Exmoor and the Isle of Man, plus two week long trips abroad to Provence and Zermatt. I have walked in many of the World’s mountainous areas, including the Alps, Tatras, Himalayas, Rockies, and Andes.
